3 Rules for Writing Better Engineering Reports

Focus on outcomes, not just commit counts: "Reduced page load time by 30%" communicates much more value than "Committed 15 times to branch dev".
Flag blockers early: If you are waiting on access, API specifications, or another team's PR, call it out clearly under Blockers.
Log daily in real time: Take 10 seconds whenever you merge a PR or solve a tricky bug to jot down a quick note. Never rely on your Friday memory.
